Modern Music Learning – 4-7 Yrs Music lessons!
In our 4-7 Yrs music sessions, children as young as four will be playing real rock music together from their very first rehearsal. With a focus on fun, teamwork, and confidence, your child will learn the basics of drums, guitar, and keyboard while preparing for a live performance.
We use a colour-coded music system and specially modified instruments to make it easy for young players to start reading and playing music straight away – no prior experience needed. Our Kidzrock songbook features energetic, original rock tunes written especially for young beginners, ensuring every child can feel successful, included, and inspired.
Saturdays at Modern Music Learning (Ages 4–7 yrs)
This is not your typical group lesson – it’s a real rock band experience for young kids!
Every Saturday, your child will join a 45-minute Kidzrock band session, where they’ll learn to play drums, guitar, and keyboard as part of a real performing band. Designed especially for ages 4–7 yrs, these sessions focus on confidence, creativity, and collaboration – no prior experience needed.

Kidzrock at Modern Music Learning is a dynamic and engaging music programme designed for young beginners aged 4 to 7. Based in Takapuna and serving families across Auckland’s North Shore, this one-of-a-kind experience gets children playing real rock music in a band from their very first session.
Each 45-minute weekly rehearsal combines hands-on learning with fun and creativity. Children rotate between drums, keyboard, and guitar, using colour-coded music and specially adapted instruments to make learning easy and accessible.

All enrolments have a minimum commitment of 3 months.
Withdrawal Policy
Withdrawal dates for 2025 are: 11 May, 3 August, 5 October.
Withdrawals outside these dates are considered case-by-case, but the above dates will generally apply.
4 weeks’ notice is required before any withdrawal date.
